pole work

An interesting article in the Guardian today about a Polish exodus of the most skilled to Britain. For example, Pawel Glijerski, earns good money driving a fork-lift truck for Tesco:

One man complained to Glijerski that it was unfair that he, as a Pole, had such a plum job while the British man’s wife was unemployed. “He asked me how this could be the case. And because I have a masters in economics I was able to explain it to him.”

I love that.
